I missed the outrage of the day and am just catching up. I am seeing several things going on here and thought I would throw out my two cents on some of them :D

Never apologize to the enemy! - ahh bullshit. Some times you step over the line. We do it as individuals, as groups, as a country... ffs, we do it as a species. When you do it, you appologize... it's a simple thing to do and it is the right thing to do. Ed fucked up, he got suspended and he apologized. I respect that. Will the repugs respect it? Fuck no, they don't respect anything except the Almighty dollar. Don't be fooled or tempted though by the "We need to stoop to their level" rational... It's a bad slope to go down, it is what brought torture to being a debatable topic in this country.

I've lost all respect for him for using such a word! - oh fucking-A... Are you shitting me? You are going to take a good, passionate liberal and toss him away because he called perhaps the most vile right wing turd who does every last thing for one reason only... a dollar... a slut? The same guy that then stood up and apologized to that same vile right wing turd? After all the years of standing up and being on our side? For a single slip that he apologized for?

You have got to be shitting me. Good jumping jesus, stop expecting everyone to be perfect and allow people a fuck up once in a while. I don't mean "repug on the wrong side of every moral thing in the world" fuck up's but rather the "I'm sorry I used the most vulgar term to call you exactly what you are" fuck up's.

Words. They mean something... not only that but they carry weight... in a physical sense they can hurt. I know, I've been hurt... I bet you have as well. Surprising words can hurt you as well as the obvious ones... I bet we all know that.

Actions. They also mean something. We have all committed incorrect actions... Did we all ALWAYS stand up and do the right thing afterwords? I bet not. I have not.

Re-Actions. We have all over done it and under done it... Where are you on this one?

Words. I assume the irony of Ohio Joe making any type of comment on vulgar language is not lost on any of you... :P This whole fucking thing is a FAUX outrage that does not deserve our time, there are more important thing a-foot.

As I have said the beer and travel money is due, not that anyone owes it.
