Five potential landing spots for soon-to-be-free Plaxico Burress
On June 6, two weeks from Monday, Plaxico Burress(notes) will walk out of New York's Oneida Correctional Facility a free man. And a free agent.

Unfortunately for him, he's also going from lockdown to lockout. The NFL's work stoppage means that no team can offer him a contract at the moment, but according to his agent, if there's NFL football in 2011, Burress will be playing it.

Boy seems like the Eagles are trying to fill their team with criminals.

I applaud the Eagles for giving people a second chance. There's a reason why the USA holds 25% of the world's prisoners even through we have 5% of the world's population. Draconian criminal justice system and a population unwilling to cut some slack and give people a second chance.

3. There are plenty of young guys who should have those spots on the teams
rather then these guys who just get out of prison. If you or I just got out of prison, could we make millions right out of prison? I think not, we would be forced to work minimum wage probably in janitorial work or fast food. Everytime I turn around, its seems that Athletes are constantly breaking the law and once they get out of prison thinks go right back to normal. ITS BULLSHIT!

6. It is simple supply and demand. He has an ability that very few others possess
he has served his time and he deserves the same chance at the NFL as anyone else.

Just because you and I can't cut it doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to go back to work.

4. Unadulterated sociopath with a few months in jail and no real therapy
is what was given a second chance here.

And I was a diehard, green-bleeding Eagles fan...

Doesn't look like Arizona is interested in him though.
