This is just West Central Missouri. This doesn't include Joplin or over towards Columbia.

It's been a hell of a storm day in Missouri!

3. Not just tonight,
The front that is causing all this is slowing and stalling out over the state. We've got a good chance of rain and storms tomorrow. Hopefully these won't be severe, since today's round took a lot of the humidity and heat out of the air, but still, it is going to be more rain in places that simply don't need it. Chances are real good that you can kiss this year's corn crop goodbye.

5. Yep, corn is gonna suck this year.
You can tell it's gonna suck.

My dog got out yesterday and ran into the neighbor's yard. I almost lost a shoe while chasing him down because the yard was so muddy-standing water everywhere.

And up here in Warrensburg we're supposed to have rain the next few days.

8. And that rain is just going to move east, right across the state
I'm fighting fungus on my apple and pear trees due to the monsoon season. Still don't have the full garden in. Grass is growing so much it's hard to keep up with cutting it back. But hey, my blackberries are loving it:)

Stay safe out there.

10. I have to replant it
but at least I didn't have everything in. I'll be putting in some lovely tomato and pepper plants (once again) after the rain is done.

My raspberries are coming in like crazy and we have what I suspect are some wild blackberries coming along the fenceline in the very back. My gladiolas have come up very strong too.

You stay safe out there too!

4. Lots of info on twitter if you search "Joplin".
Here's a short video of damage to the hospital. The whole area looks like a pile of toothpicks. :(

11. Joplin Globe: Widespread damage reported after tornado
Staff Writer
Posted: 05/22/2011 6:36 PM

A tornado roared through the city of Joplin late Sunday afternoon, causing major structural damage along and just north of Interstate 44.

Range Line was closed at 15th Street, and widespread damage could be seen along the city's most densely built commercial strip.

Local radio stations reported numerous tractor-trailer rigs had been blown off of Interstate 44.

At about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, safety crews were beginning to close Range Line around 20th Street. Several trees and power lines in the area were down, making side-streets impassable.
