Sarah's ratings free fall, beat in Dec by Real Housewives of Atlanta
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2010/12/25/sunday-1219-cable-ratings-sarah-palins-alaska-top-gear-ax-men-leverage-kendra-real-housewives-more/76555

Sarah's absurd, narcissistic vanity hour now half its debut numbers and getting spanked by the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Maybe the Repukes want to consider Kim Zolciak for the nom? She has all the same qualifications of Sarahcuda (dated pageant looks favored by a certain, um, demographic.) Don't be tardy for the (Republican) Party, Kim!

Sarah is specifically tanking in the prime ad demographic as her show only appeals to old fart freepers.

1. Call her what you will. She was smart enough
to build her McCain 15 minutes into a money making career. When she does fade from the scene she will have become probably a multi-millionaire. She probably doesn't give a hoot what people say about her. She is just "putting food on her family."

Paris Hilton, Tia Tequila, the Jersey Shore cast etc. They all have that same talent for milking their 15 minutes!

I was thinking of getting one of these things and a dumb red jacket or something and being Sarah for Halloween, LOL.

11. I'm totally being Sarah for Halloween this year
All I really need is a red jacket and black pencil skirt. My hair is about the same length and texture of hers minus the bangs. Oh and I need the glasses.

I wanted to do it last year but I was in KY where she was too popular.

24. Remind me down the line
Of course I regret not starting this in 2008. As long as she remains in the spotlight I have Halloween covered.

I can do a pretty good impression of her too.

7. Why do no talent Repukes get cable glory? Do all liberals have to be comedians?
It is as if the cableworld wants GOPukers to be on TVEE, perhaps to get them elected no matter what? Even simple name recognition for voters? Dunno, but these shows about uptight right wing tools makes no sense to ratings, there are way better freakshow reality tv shows out there...guess that explains the freefall.

a normal, well-adjusted person. Of course, reality show trainwrecks tend to be pretty self-selecting, since normal, well-adjusted people don't agree to have a camera crew follow them and their children around 24/7.

12. And she fails at yet another ballot box of public opinion
I knew she'd not do very well, but I am a tad surprised as the rapidity of the ratings fall, it seems she has absolutely no loyal base. That is some heavy fact after the promotional push she's gotten. She's just not moving off the shelves. Not drawing a crowd. What can be said?

13. According to the Freepers she's a "victim" of the "lamestream media!"
LOL! Hello -- SHE IS the lamestream media!!

How many people have their own "about me me ME" TV show and are able to spout off on TV via Fox News whenever they want?

They just can't wrap their heads around the fact that most Americans just plain don't like her, and are not as impressed with her as she is by herself. She comes off as an ignorant, narcissistic ditz.

18. K&R #9 for great news. I checked out the 1st 2 episodes because
I need to stay up with whatever the buzz topic is, whether Mel GIBSON's "Passion of the Christ" or whatever. I really couldn't see how even her most ardent followers could swallow it.

But the real question is how the "Survivor" producer got himself fired up into doing this project. I would think he has shot himself in his career foot.

21. Well, she did tie "Leverage"
Whatever the hell that is! Only I'm sure it took 20 times the production budget and 1000x the media hype for her to tie it, whatever the hell it is!

22. Leverage is actually a very good show
Timothy Hutton and a great cast pulling "Mission Impossible" type capers to help the little people against big corporations or powerful people.

LEVERAGE follows the adventures of a highly skilled team out to settle scores against those who use power and wealth to victimize others. The gang is led by former insurance investigator Nate Ford (Hutton), who got involved in the con business after his former employer refused to pay for treatment that could have saved his son’s life. His highly skilled team includes Sophie Devereaux (Bellman), a grifter who uses her acting skills to corner her marks; Eliot Spencer (Kane), a “retrieval specialist” with bone-crunching fighting skills; Alec Hardison (Hodge), a gadget and technology wizard who keeps the team informed; and Parker (Riesgraf), a slightly off-center thief adept at rappelling off buildings or squeezing into tight places.

25. I think if you go to the link I posted, they have some episodes online
The new season will be starting soon on TNT, but it may have developed enough of a back story that you will miss some of the nuances of interaction among the regular characters. Also, they have a continuing story line that will open the new season that will not make much sense without seeing previous episodes.

If you are like me and an insomniac, TNT runs episodes some nights at like 2 AM. This has not helped me get more sleep, since I tend to get caught up in the story even if I have seen it before.

28. I do like the way they have developed the characters
For me, that is the sign of a really good director and a great ensemble of actors.

Their plots don't go much beyond what Mission Impossible did. I do wish they had not brought in this "master criminal/evil guy" for them to fight. I preferred the episodic nature of one or two episode problem solving rather than long term feuds.
