Are you fucking kidding me?
I keep reading story after story about how Newt Gingrich had to "apologize" to Paul Ryan for offering a TINY criticism to his budget plan. I mean TINY.

Gingrich had called Ryan’s proposal “right-wing social engineering.” He said the effort imposed “radical change.”

Okay? So what?

So anyone who criticizes Paul Ryan's plan is unAmerican and should apologize, yet we can say all kinds of disgusting things about Obama's health care plan (i.e. DEATH PANELS), and bring GUNS to the town hall meetings, and that's just fine?

Are these people out of their damn minds? It's really sad when you can't even offer up your opinion of a piece of legislation without having to apologize for it. I mean, I thought that was the point of a primary. These pigs are biggest hypocrites I've ever seen in my life.

2. I don't think he had to apologize. He wanted to.
I keep hearing how you can't win a Reputlican primary in Iowa unless you're a raving lunatic. I think that's bullshit. But if you can't state your policies and defend them, you've got nothing. Newt's got nothing.

4. Politicians make a great effort and spend a lot of money both kidding and fucking you.
And, then they tell you to enjoy it and be grateful for their efforts.

6. Gingrich was most likely attempting to appeal to Independents and
not sound so much like a nut as the others. But when you go off message, as he did, you pay a price.

11. But John Edwards is the scum of the world!
Oops, damn, wrong topic.

Never mind.

The problem the GOP faces is that their leadership is blinded by fear, hogtied by maniacs, and concerned that the most energetic, post retirement, tea bagging, fox newsies might not vote at all in 2012, unless every idiotic, simpleminded, and wrongheaded position they've been force-fed, is followed to the letter.

Discussion, compromise, negotiation? Those are evil librul traits. NO, the proper way to run a country (into the ground) is to take orders from Rush and the Brother Koch, follow those orders blindly, even when it causes personal harm and suffering, and accuse anyone else who dares disagree a traitor, fascist communist, or worse.

14. I'm thinking they're trying to preserve the essence of Ryan's bill
to be used later - repackaged - in a either a more kinder, compassionate fashion or a financially critical, scare-you-into-it boogeyman fashion.

Newt is expendable because I don't think Newt is part of the GOP that falls under the (organized crime) ALEC that is sweeping the state's legislatures.

Also, I think these people have high hopes for Ryan come 2016.

15. I think you missed the reason
You don't insult or attack a Koch Water Boy or you get financially cut off.

It puts the lotion on its skin
else it gets the hose again.
