I hope he's ok after 30 days and raises lots of money but this story made me giggle

Fla. man says he'll live in lions' den for 30 days
(01-03) 02:39 PST Spring Hill, Fla. (AP) --

A Florida man says he's going to spend the next month living in a fenced enclosure with two African lions.

James Jablon of Spring Hill hopes the stunt will raise money for his wildlife center, Wildlife Rehabilitation of Hernando.

Jablon entered the lions' den Saturday. He says he's going to sleep on hay near the lions named Lea and Ed and eat when they eat. :spray:

He says he's also going to build a place to sleep and hide in the trees in the enclosure, in case the lions fight with each other. His adventure is being streamed live online through January 31.

comment after article: He should change his middle name to "lunch" in preparation of an appropriate epitaph.

I hope they don't destroy the lions when they finish doing their lion things with him.

3. When I saw this on the local news tonight, I said: "no he won't"
I wish him and his rehab center well in this promotion, but I just doubt it.

5. i added the pics above. Lions aren't too big. Small enough to fight off if they get people hungry

Maybe. Small but muscular.

9. The video they showed
the paws were as big as his head, and they were "play biting" and their teeth were as thick as his wrist. Maybe camera trickery, but still.

19. You can't be serious.
I've seen a twenty pound domestic cat put a fully-grown adult male human flat on his ass.

That guy wouldn't stand a chance against those yearling lions.

Not one chance in Hell, if they wanted him dead, he'd be dead.

6. My first thought
was that some fundie was trying to emulate Daniel - the 'lion's den' guy of Old Testament fame. At least he's doing this stunt for what sounds like a worthwhile cause. 'Wildlife rehabilitation' is good, right?

7. Over the years we've had more than a few persons claiming
to be Rastafari jumping into cages with lions. I don't remember any living to talk about the experience.

20. He's eating when they eat?
I read that as "eating WHAT they eat," which could get interesting when he reaches in for his first (and last) piece of it.

21. So... lemme guess: his life insurance policy will be providing the "fund-raising"?
I wonder if a policy would pay out under such circumstances.

Frankly I think he'd be better off with only one lion. Get them in pairs and there might be a problem.
