Blogs about Compassion, Cooperation and Community...

If this is the first you're hearing of Wishadoo!, I invite you to check it out and please join There's a private DU group there, for Wishadoo!-centric interaction such as members in need of help. :)

Since I'm having a hard time finding bloggers/authors, I decided to open up the blog feature at Wishadoo! to all members.

Does the idea of actively working together to put Compassion, Cooperation and Community in Action appeal to you? Being a Wishadoo! Community Blogger is yet another tool offered to our community members to do this. DUers are some of the most brilliant people I've had the pleasure to meet, so I would love it if you guys would join in and blog about the goings-on in your town or region, and/or about issues of importance to you.

Part of the Wishadoo! Vision is to create a network of blogs to be established as a member-owned co-op. It's a grassroots cooperative version of Huffington Post|Patch.com, but focused on All Things Compassion, Cooperation, and Community.

That covers a lot of territory, though.

I'm specifically seeking bloggers and authors whose passions and/or expertise lie within the areas of business, healthcare/wellness, education, politics, the environment, the arts, media, religion, law, community in general, your local community, or other suggestions you may have.

Wishadoo!'s Community Blogs will highlight how Compassion, Cooperation and Community are currently manifesting in the US and other countries, as well as how you envision they could be implemented within those same subject areas noted above.

Ultimately, I would LOVE to see people reporting on what is going on in their local communities. If you feel there is a lack of Compassion, Cooperation and Community, please blog about it, with the intention for us to then gather in Groups to discuss and brainstorm ways to turn things around. The blogs aren't just to report what is going on, but to provide a launching pad for discussion and ultimately action -- positive action -- about what is being shared at Wishadoo!

If you would like a Group created for specific discussions or for those following your blog, just let me know. :)

(Side note: Books for Good will have a similar focus, with book clubs, discussion groups, and a "Compassion Co-op" for Wishadoo! Community authors.)

Since things are just getting started at Wishadoo!, with many tools not yet activated, there are creative things we can do to connect blogs with other features at Wishadoo! and put great ideas into action based on the information gathered. I've worked hard to create a framework which enables many things to be integrated; now it's a matter of getting it started and doing it.

If this appeals to you, just join Wishadoo!, explore what's there and get started! Of course, contact me with any questions.

Also, please connect on Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks for reading! :hi:

1. OGR -- can I pass your info on to my hemophilia group?
Times being the way they are, people are finding a much greater need even for the simplest of things.

I am hosting a booth at our Kid's Day Tahoe green families fair to start something called a 'CropMob" in our little community...like a farming co-op...

so that is the challenge for my community building efforts, and i would love to write about it!
but you already knew that! ;)

Hey, if you want to reach out to the CropMob folks (I think I did a couple of months ago...not sure) and let them know Wishadoo! can provide an online gathering space for people to organize and plan and share info with others, that would be great.

You can be the CropMob Ambassador and lead the Wishadoo! Group.

:hi:
