Is Santorum still running after that Ensign report?
http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/01/18/rick-santorum-says-hes-considering-run-for-president-in-2012/
<snip>
Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum has told supporters he is contemplating a run for president.

In a letter Friday to America's Foundation, his political action committee, Santorum wrote, "I am considering putting my name in for the 2012 presidential race," CNN first reported.

The conservative Republican wrote he is "concerned about the direction Barack Obama is taking our country."

"I'm convinced that conservatives need a candidate who will not only stand up for our views, but who can articulate a conservative vision for our country's future," Santorum wrote. "And right now, I just don't see anyone stepping up to the plate."

After Senator Ensign refused the revised settlement offer, Mr. Hampton decided to take the matter to the media. Mr. Hampton wrote a letter to Megyn Kelly at Fox News on June 11, 2009 in which he disclosed the affair and sought a meeting with the television station. On June 15, 2009, Mr. Hampton forwarded a copy of the letter in an email to former Senator Rick Santorum, and asked Senator Santorum for help with the matter. Senator Santorum forwarded Mr. Hampton s email and the letter to Senator Ensign at his Gmail address that evening at
approximately 10:20 p.m.

5. I'm betting he's scared shitless
The truth is that they were all empowered to keep up this crap when Vitter got sway with his prostitute. Maybe Vitter should send Coburn some 'Depends'.

Don't you wonder if anyone is investigating the death of Vitter's prostitute?

8. I missed that story. (Or I've forgotten it.) I'm sure the circumstances
are quite mysterious. I'll google it to see what's out there.

7. Coburn (R) will probably get a standing O from the Republicon cuckus
Edited on Sat May-14-11 08:58 AM by SpiralHawk
I mean, the Republicons gave a standing O to Sen. Vitter (R) after it was revealed he was serially cheating on his wife and engaging in, um, UNusual, um sexual (?) MISSbehavior with a handsomely PAID PROstitutE who would inDULGE such, um, stuFF.

The Republicons really thot that was worth a StandinG O. Go figure?

So, no reason the Republicon Senate cabal won't give coBURN the same kind of special Republicon Family Values roaring endorsement of aPProvaL.

6. What A Pitiful Party...
...and one I'd call more a morgue than a party. Rectorum is just one of a long list of flawed candidates. As of the first "announced" candidates only Ron Paul is a current office holder...and from a small district in Red Texas. Of the others, Rectorum was voted out, Mittens runs from his past (the only candidate of all the "prospects" to have won in a predominately blue state...and that was over a decade ago), Cain (who??), Gary Johnson (spent the last decade smokin' the wacky tabbacky) and the Gnewtmeister whose only electoral victories were in a suburban district in Georgia (then he was all but drummed out of the party in '98).

Things don't get any better with the "expected" or wannabes...like a half-term (and full-time idiot) governor of a state with more Walruses than people (definitely no offense to my dear Alaskan DU'ers), a TV Celebrity/Con Man who contemplated running as a Democrat in '08 (but none of us took him serious), two governors from red states and a full-blown psychotic from a small red enclave in a predominately Blue state who stands little chance of ever winning a statewide race yet a national one. Pretty sad...and also very amusing.

It's amazing how the "moralists" in the rushpublican party have "modernized" in recent years. There was no way a divorced could be nominated until St. Raygun came along. Then they've looked the other way to convicted felons (remember when Ollie North tried to run?), adulterers (take a bow Mr. Gingrich) and any real world experience. In sports terms, their bench is threadbare...a minor minor league roster with little coming up in the farm system.

As far as Rectorum, that smug bastard needs to be stomped on again. Maybe this time he'll go back to his McMansion and we'll never have to see his slimy smirk again...

:hi:

9. Do as I say, not as I do. Typical Republican. The Republicans
will tell others how to live moral lives and try to
impose their 'teachings" on society , but expect
others to overlook their short comings.

Yes Santorum is still preaching the Gospel of Family Values.
