In Tight Race For Second At 10 P.M.,MSNBC’s Schultz Wins Total Audience
CNN’s Cooper Wins In Demo,
The fight among cable news shows at 10 o’clock continues to be the most competitive, with Fox’s On the Record taking first place Wednesday night, with 374,000 viewers. CNN’s Anderson Cooper was second among viewers 25-54 (257,000), narrowly beating MSBNC’s Ed Schultz (251,000). Among total viewers, The Ed Show takes second place (811,000) ahead of AC 360 (805,000).

•At HLN, the recently-launched Dr. Drew continues to struggle, finding itself with the lowest-rated hour (in demo and total viewers) on HLN Wednesday night. Dr. Drew had 76,000 viewers 25-54, putting the show in a distant fourth place at 9 p.m., dropping more than 40 percent of the audience from its lead-in, Nancy Grace (114,000).

tried to copy and paste scorecards, doesn't work

what I continue to find frustrating is, I think MSNBC is doing an awesome job. How is it possible with such an excellent line up, does faux noise get such high ratings...

1. Faux is carried by more, it's on basic cable. MSNBC is sometimes
extra (though I get it on basic cable not everyone does) plus CNN and MSNBC split the same type of viewers. ALL RWnuts watch FAUX.

3. And as she is getting shown the door for being in 3rd place

with low ratings Katie Couric had either side of 7 MILLION viewers a night. I just don't get too excited about "cable news" one way or the other. They just aren't that important in the scheme of things.

4. How? Because MSNBC is a premium channel on many cable & sat providers whereas fox and cnn come on

cheapest basic plans.

There's less of an audience cuz people have to pay a good bit more to get MSNBC.
I will now refer you to the dish network (RW turds) channel/package chart where you can see for yourself.

6. you can usually get Fox and CNN in hotel/motel rooms, but not MSNBC
on any given night, the number of people watching tv in a hotel/motel rather than home adds up.

7. Even so, 374,000 is not all that much
in a nation of 300 MILLION people:)

I think AC's 15 minutes are almost up
