Canine commando part of bin Laden compound raid

Along with the elite group of Navy Seals who took out Osama bin Laden was a four-legged commando.

The military dog was a key part of the mission. 13abc's Lissa Guyton spent the day with several dogs who have similar training to the ones used by the military.

The military equips its canine soldiers with things like special goggles called doggles, waterproof body armor that's resistant to bullets, shrapnel and knife attacks and when their teeth break, they're often replaced with titanium teeth.

They are sometimes given head-mounted cameras, allowing handlers to see what the dogs are seeing and ear pieces so they can be given orders remotely.
