Verizon's New Money Grab: S-2664
In New Jersey, Verizon, a company that made 24.2 billion last year without paying federal income taxes, is pushing legislation in this state that would eliminate the Board of Public Utilities' oversight of the industry. If signed into law, Verizon and Comcast would be free to charge consumers what ever they want.

Verizon is also targeting its unionized employees. Yesterday I had on my radio show Ed Cocliff, a rep from Local 827/International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Verizon is trying to outsource their jobs.

Listen to the interview here: http://bobcarson13.podomatic.com/player/web/2011-05-04T15_48_55-07_00

Please help raise awareness of this issue. Verizon has already managed to deregulate itself in other states. We all know this means for consumers.

Make sure to support young, aspiring, progressive radio hosts like me.
