Do people with locked threads and/or deleted posts find out why?
Just curious. In my beloved and legendary time at DU, I've had threads locked and both posts and sub-threads deleted, but I've seldom found out why, even when I've asked the mods directly via PM.

Is there any proposed mechanism by which the offending DUers might learn the specifics of their infraction?

1. Locked threads should have an explanatory locking message
at the end of them.

There is currently no mechanism for telling people why their posts were deleted, but that is something that is likely to change soon.

2. Thanks!
Currently I tend to assume that my posts are deleted because they're so fantastic that they'd damage the sanity of any mere mortal who reads them.
