Threads are marked as "hidden," even though I didn't hide them...

This may not be a problem with DU's board software, because my 14-year-old-from-Hell got his mitts on my computer while I was in the hospital and may have screwed something up in Firefox, but...

I can't see whole threads (original ansd replies) without reloading the page; same with the history of my recent posts on DU.

In other words, the messages and replies don't "auto-refresh" at all.

If you've seen this before and can help me, I'd appreciate it. If you can't help, I'll keep beating on the problem until I can fix it (I've tried, believe me).

I'm running Mac OS 9, Firefox whatever is the latest version that runs on OS 9.2.2.

2. Sounds like a browser cacheing issue to me.

Your browser may not be checking our server for new versions of the page until you hit refresh. This is a feature used to speed up browsing of pages that don't change frequently. It could be a setting in your browser, or maybe an add-on, or it may be a timestamp problem as well I suppose - make sure your computer's internal time is set to update via the internet.
