Is there no way to compel posters from persisting to post things they know to be untrue
As you can see, I have a bee in my bonnet about our President's violation of the War Powers Act, the UN Participation Act, and the UN Charter itself. I have literally exhaustively refuted all disputes of my contentions, and am dealing with a few posters who have read the clear refutations, in some cases where their own words are shown to be incorrect when compared to the actual documents.

When one demonstrates that they are incorrect, and they continue to post multiple times on the same thread, but don't acknowledge the explicit refutations, then go onto other threads on the same and other forums and cut-and-paste the same incorrectness the next day and the day after that, they are deliberately attempting to deceive. That should run counter to the concept of a covenant of decency.

Is there nothing that can be done?

At least one poster is vulnerable by repeatedly using cut-and-pastes with a link reading "UN Charter" which is actually an article about the New Deal and the earliest of attempts to form the UN.

Thanks.

1. Hmm. You refute someone's arguments, but they keep posting?
Sounds like a discussion forum.

Sorry, I don't think there's anything I can do.

2. Yes, there IS something you can do
The War Powers Act and the UN Participation Act are very specific, and OPINION is not to be substituted for FACTS. To allow people to state their feelings and repeatedly claim them as "facts" is to have no sense of respect for our fellow board-members.

You can simply post a Sense-of-the-board statement about what these LAWS very clearly are. To allow the willing, deliberate distortion is much different than embracing different opinions and feelings.

3. We could post a "sense of the board statement" on all sorts of different issues.
But we prefer that members hash these things out, rather than having an admin dictate which point of view is "correct."
