Is ignore broken or working as intended?

There is a person who I consider rude and do not wish to interact with on the forum that I added to ignore but they keep replying to posts I make so I am wondering if the ignore feature is broken or is this a case of them reading while logged off then logging on to reply in order to bypass the ignore?

1. That is how the ignore function works.

You are ignoring them, but they are not ignoring you.

Edit: Small suggestion then assuming its possible, perhaps you (the DU admins and or owners) could add a feature where it notifies a person that the person they are replying to has added them to ignore and may not be able to see their post.

3. Currently the idea is that the person will not know that you are ignoring them.

So we aren't going to create a function that notifies the other person.
