It just occurred to me who the repug party is looking for

in a candidate. After reading this article about Perry calling Bernanke a traitor, one of the comments suggested that Perry would be unable to work with ANYONE in either party, thereby making him a lousy candidate. They're looking for someone with class, that could negotiate their way through the tough battles, someone that is centrist enough to carry the Independents, someone that wouldn't put his foot in his mouth every 5 minutes. There is only one person that would fit the bill for a Republican contender against Barack Obama. That person is Barack Obama. Just an observation.

1. This was the real problem they had running against Clinton in 1996.

Clinton had taken all of their messages away from them.

Obama I'm not sure; there's still enough derangement and outright racism in the Republican Party that they will have some success in spinning him as a fire-breathing liberal.
