"Scathing" assessment full of boilerplate red meat complaints: Meet a reality check.

Good rebuttal.

4. I didn't read the original article......and I'm glad I didn't......
I'm tired of the cowards who don't do anything but criticize this man like he was their daddy dictator.

12. Yes we do but.....
obama seemed like a fighter and a guy who would call them out weekly if needed. He ended up not being a fighter but gullible as hell!
Shit, everyone knew the GOP congress would be a pain in the ass! I thought Obama would deal with it tougher!
His "change Washington" shit changed nothing!

20. "Deal with it tougher?" Like HOW?
Don't bother saying he should have played chicken a little longer and they would have backed down, such as holding UI benefit extensions hostage over letting the Bush tax cuts expire near the end of 2010.

If you think they wouldn't have let that happen had he just stared 'em down a LITTLE more, than you're naive. This GOP/Tea Party DOES NOT CARE if it crashes this country into the ground. Why people would think they'd blink about leaving the poor and elderly out in the cold FOR REAL is bizarre.

So those who play into that selectively decide to overlook the REASON that deal was made to protect those receiving those UI benefits and say "Boo hoo, he CAAAAVED! He was WEAK!"

The armchair quarterbacking based on selective memory of the details is silly.

22. Great post...
I have been saying the same thing for a long time now...people on the left say things like Obama should act angry (like Bill Maher); okay, then what? Nothing changes! Obama will face the same fillubster in the senate and the repubs in the House who are VERY willing to run the country off a cliff.
