Is it me or.........?
Does Michelle Bachmann's husband sound and act effeminate to anyone but me? I worked in professional theatre for several years and worked with many gay people. Some very out and some very straight appearing. The first time I heard him speak on tv I went man that guy is gay. Then I saw video of him. He can pray the gay away all he thinks he can but sorry you can't get rid of his diction and mannerisms. As soon as I heard him and saw him my gaydar went to high alert. Then again, having to be Mr. Bachmann, nuff said there.

1. It's not just you.
The speculation has been rampant on the Internets - not to mention Jon Stewart.

2. No, you're not the only one to have that thought.
Combined with the fact that he 1) runs an "ex gay" clinic, and 2) is married to Michelle Bachmann, and therefore can't have much legitimate interest in women, a lot of people are thinking that direction.

5. If he has a "past"......
It would stop her run dead in its tracks. If I'm not the only one then you know now there must be some people doing some digging and deep backgroud searches. Of course she doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of being elected to begin with but that would be such a delicious and savory crash and burn for that nut case.

6. I can understand that view.....
....but, while I am a life long Dem as well as an ultra liberal I feel it's ok for me to state what I feel was an observation. I meant no criticism or mean to infer any prejudice. I have absolutely no problems with GLBT's participating in any social function that they are now restricted from by law or attitudes. I'm all for gay marriage, adoption, equal spousal rights, hell you've heard all the stuff before so I won't go down the list. My feeling on it is the hypocrisy of their, Ms. and Mr. Bachmann's life, "IF" it is true and what they are trying to sell to the american people. That is all.

10. That is true......
....I have known a couple of guys that were sort of effeminate but were straight, wives, kids, house in the burbs, the whole deal. Also, I have an acquaintance that was married and has two kids and left his wife because he finally admitted to himself and his wife he was gay. Again, I am not pointing this out as a prejudicial thing. it is strictly a hypocritical thing "IF" it may be true with Mr. Bachmann. I don't know. If he is not gay, then I would apologize for any insinuation that some may feel I have made but they have missed the perhaps more subtle point of my comments which has to do with the hypocrisy "IF" it is true. In today's world, it is very hard to hide the past. It seems the more you try to bury it, the more likely it is to surface. There are now people and organizations that solely deal with digging up the obscure past on people and they get well paid for it. If there is a "past" to Mr. Bachmann, it will turn up at some point. Michelle is so egocentric to think that she is above that or untouchable. That is a dangerous mind to have in charge of any in endeavor, commercial or governmental.

14. I didn't listen to his remarks......
....to confirm to my self if he was or wasn't gay. I had no preconceived ideas as to what his sexual orientation was, I didn't even know who her husband was until I heard on the news tonight his comments about homosexuality being equated with barbarianism. I just said I listened to one of his sound bites and made a comment. I never even had any inkling as to who Mr. Bachmann was, until yesterday. My question, which was responded to by several others on this site and responded by them stating that it was a question that was percolating on the web. So, what is your point? Are you the official censor here? The "moral" gatekeeper?

15. I just said I read one of your posts and made a comment.
To reiterate, I find your comments relating his diction to his orientation to be creepy.

17. Post 9 said it well.
Bachmann is a pig, is a hypocrite, is dangerous and has harmed people. That is enough. It has little to do with his mannerisms

19. Let me briefly describe my experiences when I was young and worked in theatre.....
I was around gays all the time. Gays are like straights, it's just that they are attracted folks of the same gender. That aside, they have the same psychological profiles as heteros. There are reserved people that you would never know they are gay just like shy straights and there are aggressive gays that are just like aggressive hetero males with women. Then every one in between. I met openly gays that knew I was straight and never even gave me a second thought as to being able to score on. There were others that were seemingly straight that just chased my ass around like they thought I would just eventually give in. I had to complain to the stage manager that he needed to intervene. These were union actors, Actors Equity, from NY or LA not local kids. I worked for seven and half years in theatre and did around 75 plays and musicals, so I've been around gays. I really have a lot of stories I could tell. So I don't give a rats ass whether anyone is by, gay, what ever. All I care about is getting as much truth and honesty out of our elected officials or potential elected officials as I hope I can get.

And it was the first thought I had the first time I heard him speak too. Evidently he's spend his life doing the opposite of what he wanted to do because he's seen it as a terrible thing. If he weren't involved in messing with gay men with his fucking 'therapy' crap I would feel sorry for him.
