Not bad for all of the attacks he's been getting for "dissing" Israel by stating U.S. policy out loud. :eyes: http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx

1. I was wondering what effect that was going to have on his numbers..
This is good news for Obama and allows him some political room to push Israel a bit more on the peace process.

2. Yup...
it looks as though his courage to stick to his guns when giving the speech to AIPAC HELPED him rather than hurt him.

3. Obama
This can't be called the Bin laden bumb anymore.

I think a lot of the Obama voters are coming back to him.Which Is why he Is at 50 percent approval.

4. You're right...
his poll numbers already went down a few points after the bin Laden killing. He's now up due to other things, which is great news.

5. I think its still somewhat related to OBL...
Obama gained a ton of credibility with how he handled that whole OBL situation. Many had been brainwashed by the media into thinking he was weak and aimless and following other's lead. That clearly was not the case.

7. Important to keep in mind that he gets these ratings despite 24/7 smearing
and fear mongering from Fox, RW pundits, and from the 90% of talk radio that is conservative. In addition, his proposals for economic recovery and for staffing government positions is met with obstruction almost every time.

8. Exactly...
if he didn't have a whole NETWORK constantly attacking him, along with RWers getting in-proportionate air time to attack him some more, and throw in all the attacks from the far LWers on NON-Fox networks, he'd probably be in the 70s%.

9. I sat next to someone last week who explained every problem mentioned as Obama's evil doings.
And if it wasn't the President doing all of this evil stuff, it was Al Gore and Bill Clinton.

She also practically spat at the mention of Reagan. . . . huh??
