Seven Republicans voted against defunding Planned Parenthood
Via Daily Kos

The war on women is full on. The House voted today, 240-185, to block all federal funding to Planned Parenthood, and to go one further, by defunding Title X entirely. A handful of "Dems" voted with Republicans to endanger the lives of women all over the nation.

The roll call vote hasn't been posted, but House staff provides the names of those Dems who voted with the Rs to defund: Dan Boren (OK), Jerry Costello (IL), Joe Donnelly (IN), Dan Lipinski (IL), Mike McIntyre (NC), Collin Peterson (MN), Nick Rahall (WV), Silvestre Reyes (TX), Mike Ross (AR), Heath Shuler (NC).

These Republicans voted no: Charlie Bass (NH), Judy Biggert (IL), Mary Bono Mack (CA), Charlie Dent (PA), Robert Dold (IL), Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ), Richard Hanna (NY). Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) voted present.

<...>

And 10 Democrats voted to defund it. That asshole Heath Shuler wanted Nancy Pelosi's job?

8. Repubs love to talk about freedom but without freedom to control your own body you're not truely
free.

9. This won't get through the Seante...
I can't think of PO signing this.

It's all a dog and pony show for the maniacs on the Right; just as was the HCR repeal, and a host of other things...tactics devised to turn debate into firestorms, all the while being able to go to their districts and say..."I tried".

It's the same thing w/abortion...if banning abortion actually happened, they'd actually lose. It's one of the best gifts Conservatives ever got to, it's used solely to motivate a group of single issue voters that come out each election...never realizing that if there was a serious attempt to ban abortion, when the R's controlled the House, Senate and WH...and had a compliant USSC, abortion would have been banned during the bush years. They don't want to ban it, it's a useful wedge issue for them.

10. Why would Justin "mini Ron Paul" Amash vote present?
The guy is anti-government and wants to cut everything, military on down. What does present even mean anyway?
