If Obama had supported single payer, and conceded to allow a public option, he would not be facing the dismantling of his signature achievement before it even takes effect. If Obama has simply said "enough of this bullshit - Gitom is closed, the prisoners are being transerred to Leavenworth, and will all stand civil trials" progressive disappointment would not have given the house to the republilcans. Why has Obama's justice department, which has not made a move to dismiss Bush's inept political appointees from key positions, not moved to impeach Thomas for his violation of the law?

Aw, never mind. Those are just "pet issues" - it's not like they really MEAN anything.
