DK is defending Boehner of Ed Schultz's show.
Called him a "statesman" and "not a bomb thrower". Quick! The "Kucinich is DEAD to me" posts need to appear immediately!

2. Boner isn't a bomb-thrower.
It's hard to throw bombs from a tanning bed, especially when you're also drinking a martini.

30. If Boner is drinking Jaegar bombs, than I think I finally found something about him that I agree
with. I love me some Jaeger! Not much of a drinker, but I will never say no to Jaeger.

4. Yeah, well ...
It's time for us to quit calling people "traitor!" every time they have a kind word to say about the other side. I know you were being sarcastic (weren't you?), but these people do work together and need to, in order to get things done.

16. DK is enabling Boehner to continue to make bad decisions.
This was a bad decision and there is no excuse for it.

21. that's funny. because if Obama says something nice about a republican he's Reagan 2.0
if it's Dennis, he's just being a statesman. please.

31. It has nothing to do with saying something nice
Boehner is the Speaker of the House and with that role there are responsibilities. I have never criticized President Obama of saying something nice about Republicans. He should he is the the president that is his role to bring the parties together.

Boehners role even with the opposing party is to show leadership and good decision making and in this case he did not.

I like DK but to say it was okay for Boehner to go to RNC Fundraiser over a national event is not appropriate.

I don't know why Kucinich was sucking up to Boehner.

5. AH the expedient DK that I know so well. Ohio is losing 2 Congressional seats, and under
total GOP rule, so you know what that means.....

DK is going to have his buddy Steve LaTourette (R-OH14) pave the way so he won't lose his seat.

That's all.

8. Maybe, just maybe,
some people are trying to dial back the rhetoric. I thought that's what the President requested the other night.
And Dennis is not exactly a hot-head in general, imo.

12. The real hot-heads mostly lost in November 2010
such as Alan Grayson (Die quickly) and
Paul Kanjorski (Put him against the wall and shoot him)
Sharron Angle (you look oriental) well OK she was just running for senate

are examples.

May be, just may be civility will return in DC as the president
opined in his AZ speech.

37. Its a pretty far jump from dialing it back to calling someone a statesman
I have as yet to see anything about Boner that says statesman to me. You can be civil to another person without nominating them for sainthood. Or at least I can. If the op presented an accurate portrayal of what DK said, I am disapointed. Which in reality means very little. But Ive been a huge fan since I learned about in the 2004 primary season. A few of us managed to get him to come speak at our school.

And the word "chess" would make at least a dozen appearances.

And where do you think the idea of using the word to mock came from? Perhaps from it being used seriously so often?

33. it's been used more by those who mock him
but you have to admit if this was Obama who said it there would be multiple threads attacking him. but you don't see that happening with Kucinich. even this thread is low. most of the posts "attacking" kucinich isn't event to attack him but just pointing out hypocrisy.

Were their roles reversed, I suspect the number of threads about them would be reversed as well.

And all my first reply did was also point out some hypocrisy.

telling us what a DLC centrist corpofascist sellout suckup Obama was, and some so-called "progressive" would stomp off in a huff proclaiming that he would NEVAR AGAIN VOTE FOR THAT MAN.

They'll leave Dennis alone, because they know he's totally ineffectual in Congress.

I think the Republicans like Democrats like Dennis. Big time do-nothing.
