Tax bill clears key hurdle in Senate by wide margin

<...>

The vote is currently 80-10.

Here are the no votes: Bingaman, Brown (OH), Feingold, Gillibrand, Leahy, Levin, Udall (CO), Sanders, Ensign, Hagan

The vote is proceeding slowly and being left open because of bad weather across the country and some senators have been delayed in getting to the Capitol.

Those who still have not voted: Democrats: Bayh, Coons, Lautenberg, Merkley, Tester, Wyden; Republicans: Coburn, DeMint, Graham, Sessions.

<...>

Lautenberg just voted no. Coons votes yes. Coburn, no. Tester, yes. Bayh, yes.

9. Thank you? He voted against the tax cuts for middle class only bill
You know, the bill that would have let the tax cuts for the rich expire. That was what made Obama have to cut this deal with the Republicans in the first place.

Sorry, I don't even know WHAT Russ Feingold is up to these days. I think he is just voting no to everything.

4. I was just gonna post that Coons would most likely vote yes
During the election he was saying that he was for a limited time tax cut extension.

8. Well, Time to shed the best light on it......Largest Stimulus ever!
Lets call it what it is and that will make the republicans have second thoughts.

At 900 billion over two years it makes the 2009-2011 700 billion stimulus that the tea baggers hated so much look like nothing. Whether it will help the economy or not is another question. I'm looking forward to another year of no taxes due! Can't accuse me of paying for the damn drones and the bombs. Will the economy look good enough to get Obama reelected? We'll see, but I suppose if I were Obama I would have taken the chance also. The house won't be stopping this freight train. Get outta the way!
