It's obvious to me that what WikiLeaks has done and will continue to do is exactly what REAL journalists and reporters would have done.

It's also obvious how the mainstream media that is condemning WikiLeaks is more concerned with making news "infotainment" with other commentary done in a hyperbolic fashion where facts are not given and misinformation is the guide.

While it may be a discomfort for news departments to sift through the leaked documents, now issues and policies that need to be addressed have to actually be discussed.

And, as the Pentagon admitted before with the first leaks from WikiLeaks last summer, no real damage was actually done from a national security standpoint.

3. Released actual documents have more credibility than some indolent gossipmonger's screeds
I think there is a huge difference.

4. True 'dat. And Michael Moore too.
I shut down one ignorami once who was complaining about Moore by telling them the same. If the freaking lame$tream media would do their jobs, we wouldn't need the likes of Michael Moore. He does so well BECAUSE of the media's refusal to do their jobs. Same with wikileaks.

I just hope Assange can stay alive and free for another few months but it's not looking good.

5. Totally!
It seems that actual journalism has been outlawed.

7. This part is important
"And, as the Pentagon admitted before with the first leaks from WikiLeaks last summer, no real damage was actually done from a national security standpoint."

But somehow it gets forgotten over and over again on DU, leading to a lot of specious argumentation.
