Discouraged! Don't Be......"Pick Yourself Up...and Start All Over Again!"
Picked Me Up to go Searching for this One.......

I know it seems old...but sometimes "Old" has some "Wisdom" unless we throw everyone older than us out onto the Ice Flows to Die...which was the way the Eskimo's dealt with "Passing of the Elders" given their logistical/Climate Problems with where they lived before "Global Warming." It was efficient..for what it was..even thought it didn't seem "kind" to our Lower Hemisphere sensibilities. :-(

"Pick Yourself Up and START ALL OVER AGAIN!" Lyrics & Tune from Our Past!

From our "Mafia Don" FRANK SINATRA from our past....a good listen (yeah...really):

LYRICS: (for those who don't want to hear the "Mafia Don" from the past)

Pick Yourself up

Pick yourself up...
Take a deep breath...
Dust yourself off
And start all over again.

Nothing's impossible, I have found
For when my chin is on the ground.
I pick myself up,
Dust myself off
And start all over again.

Don't lose your confidence
If you slip
Be grateful for a pleasant trip
And pick yourself up,
Dust yourself off
And start all over again.

Work like a soul inspired
Until the battle of the day is won.
You may be sick and tired,
But you'll be a man, my son.

Will you remember the famous men
Who had to fall to rise again
They picked themselves up
Dust themselves off
And start'd all over again.

Work like a soul inspired
Till the battle of the day is won.
You may be sick and tired,
But you'll be a man, my son.

Will you remember the famous men
Who had to fall to rise again?
So take a deep breath...
Pick yourself up...
Dust yourself off
And start all over again.

1. A pretty good sentiment.

Although it is also funny.

The same arguments that are so easy to see, made years ago, are not acknowledged on tv.

If anyone had read the simplest comment those that want total security at the cost of freedom, deserve neither.

Wouldn't some of the people on TV be able to talk about what the issues really are about.

I have to figure the information systems are to try and make people think they can not do anything or make a difference, by them intentionally making the same mistakes over and over, even when explained why they are mistakes.

Since for some the goal is not to get things done, or improve society, but to make society seem to be hopeless, so the illusion of stupid is in many places, so some will think society will not learn, when most of it is to try to get people to give up explaining what is going on, even if many ignore it, and wont say the truth.

I am still due beer and travel money, and many experiences, and people know that and many ignore it. What should happen to them? For those that choose to not do what is obvious, and what should be done, if they don't do those things, and do not speak better ideas as shown and argued, then them knowing is of no help anyways, so removing those that do not correct what should be corrected, or do not use what they learn for better reasons makes complete sense.

For instance, the media has repeatedly associated concepts I have posted opposite of what they are about. If that is the norm, it makes an interesting concepts of how the media works.

Or as O'Donnell says, Heroes are villenized, and villains lionized. Seen that with observations, so might the people you disagree with be on your side? Stick to supporting ideas.

3. "Heroes are villenized, and villains lionized."
It's always been that way...but, some folks have to still be out there working the best ways we can...to each of their own abilities...makes a MIGHTY VOICE...somewhere out there...Somewhere.

+Mega for your thoughtful post for us sorting through all of this that we've been through.

2. Weirdly enough...that's similar to a great Peter Tosh lyric from decades later
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_hZyzst6i0

Sittin' in the morning sun
And watching all the birds passing by
Oh how sweet they sing
And oh how much I wish that I could fly

And I try
I said I try
I try
I really try try try

But I got to
Pick myself up
Dust myself off
Start all over, again (CHORUS 2x)

Sittin' in the midday sun
And wondering where my meal's coming from
After working so hard
Not even piece of bread at the yard

And I said I try
Oh Lord I try
I try
I really try try try

Sittin' in the evening sun
And watching the same birds passing by
Sittin' and wondering
And waiting for the time for me to fly

And I try
I said I try
Good Lord I try
I really try try try

So long and I just find
It was just a waste of time
So long and I just find
I been been wasting all my time

I've got to pick myself up...

4. "I Try" and "WE TRY" and one day these voices will be heard...maybe not right now...but

collectively..down the road..when history is written..after we are gone. THERE WERE VOICES and THEY TRIED.

I think that's a life well lived. When one realizes how some little efforts can grow mighty and influencing ONE PERSON AT A TIME...does mean that THERE really IS A DIFFERENCE.

It's the only way to WAKE UP IN THE MORNING! "IT's a NEW DAY...and SO MUCH TO BE DONE!" Not to be discouraged or to neglect our "daily duties" to family and such...but A NEW DAY DAWNS like CLOCKWORK.

THERE IS SO MUCH TO BE DONE!
