Rand Paul Is Still Waiting for Obama To Call Him
Free market hero (and Senator-elect!) Rand Paul was on CBS's Face the Nation today to talk about things. He said he didn't like "the language" Obama used during the BP oil spill, and he's still waiting for a congratulatory phonecall.

Rand again takes issue with Obama's statement about putting the "boot heel" on BP's throat during the oil spill because it sends the wrong message to gigantic corporations that violate laws for profit. He uses the figure that one in ten businesses fail, and that we Americans need to encourage entrepreneurs, not threaten them with nasty anti-business speak. Inside every home in America there's a little billionaire oil company CEO just waiting to get out, and threatening BP on national TV might push them to become teachers or venture into some other socialist vocation, right?

1. That's too bad, because it ain't coming.
Obama's not going to decide he was wrong because the voters of Kentucky are idiots.

3. Hey Randtard - your congratulations will come in
when the Kentucky voters decided that you're not even worth their oxygen and their taxpayer money to send you to DC in '12.

5. I agree with your sentiment, but we're stuck with him until 2016.
Senators serve 6 year terms.

21. Fat chance
Let's be realistic, he hasn't done anything yet and the last Senator expelled was eons ago.

Funny that he should choose to object to that particular phrase.

I objected when one of his thugs did exactly that to a subdued defenseless woman. May neither of them ever live it down.

8. Waiting for what?
:wtf:
It isn't Obama's job to call up Republican winners and congratulate them. That's Mitch's job and I wonder how happy exactly he was to have to give him a congratulatory phone call (if he, in fact, did).

I'm sure that that him getting a personal congratulatory phone call from Obama will really make a difference in terms of Paul obstructing (or not obstructing) the President's agenda.
:sarcasm: :eyes:
Paul, frankly, can hold his breath until he turns blue and passes out for all I care waiting for that call. Why would he even think that President Obama actually cares about him in particular?
:puke:

10. Kentucky had a clear choice in this election
And they chose a person who probably does not know what a US Senator does. He's already flip flopped on so many issues and you don't know where he stands or what his plans are.

I can't say that I am surprised by anything Rand has said or done since being elected.

15. In that case, I think I will write Obama a letter and tell him ..........
he did the right thing buy not giving this nut-job the legitimate ear of the White House.

The Paul family are about as crazy as they come. When you really think about it, Ron Paul is really the person we have to thank for the tea-party.
