Arkansas schools head condemns anti-gay posts by school board member
(CNN) -- The head of the Arkansas Department of Education condemned anti-gay comments posted on a social networking site by a member of a local school board, and expressed "grave concern" about the situation.

"I strongly condemn the statements that appeared on Mr. Clint McCance's Facebook page," Tom Kimbrell, Arkansas commissioner of education, said in a statement Wednesday. "... The statements attributed to Mr. McCance constitute a significant departure from statements we expect from our school leaders. The divisiveness and disruption of these comments cause me to seriously question the ability of Mr. McCance to remain as an effective member of the Midland School Board."

McCance, the vice president of the Midland School District, wrote on his personal Facebook page that he wanted gay people to commit suicide, according to The Advocate, a newspaper focusing on gay news.

McCance used the terms "queer" and "fag" repeatedly, promised to disown his own children if they are gay and stated that he enjoys "the fact that give each other AIDS and die."

1. Remember Haggard's Law...
Haggard's Law – The likelihood of a person harboring secret desires to engage in sexual and/or romantic activities with members of the same sex is directly proportional to the frequency and volume of said person's vocalized objections to homosexuality.

McCance doth protest too much, methinks...

2. Nah. I think he's just a good old fashion homophobe.
And isn't it convenient that Clint McCance's business, Clint’s Carpet Cleaning is used by the local school district?

They may say their hands are tied when it comes to firing him (so they say), but there's nothing stopping them from canceling the use of his services. The last thing I want is my taxes used to pay this man.
