AIDS Activists In Boston Heckle An Angry President Obama
From the right wing Mediate website: http://www.mediaite.com/online/poll-obama-has-lost-one-quarter-of-2008-supporters-to-gop/

Read the comments, it is scary to think that the politicians these people support might control congress.

3. So people know what the other side is like.
It's called opposition research. Staying in the DU bubble doesn't accomplish anything.

8. You can always "hide thread".
I often do that with threads I have no interest in.
I don't think it's against the rules to post what the OP did, is it?

The security officers moved them out of the building and relocated them outside.

5. What I can't for the life of me understand is why AIDS
(or are they really) would heckle President Obama. It seems to the Democrats and Obama have done more for them then the republicans ever did. If they want to heckle go to the republicans who voted down all the bills and advantages they would have received.

You know why they don't, because they can't get into the republican rallies. And if they did, like the protesters against McCain they will be hustled out of the place and arrested. SO they show up at the rally of the one person who tried to help them. sometimes I think that when people do things like this they make matters worst for themselves. People with sense know that the Democrats are not responsible and I for one would surely be upset at a group that targets the people that tried to help and let those that caused the bills and efforts to be blocked, obstructed and denied.

They are as stupid as they come.

9. Yeah, because the Republicans really, really care about AIDS! To his credit,
Bush did increase funding for AIDS/HIV support to African countries. I will give him credit for that. But this crop of Republicans? They could give a shit about AIDS/HIV!

17. Right now because DU is upset with our polls #s posting this will get u flamed
I can see why you posted this and normally DU would enjoy the humor of jumping over to see how the repubs heads are exploding but because of depressing poll #s for many of our guys posting this is just salt in the wound and will get you blocked by many.

I am still on the fence on whether to vote or sit at home seeing as how democrats were selling out too much to special itnerests and repubs that they forgot to be strong and fight for us (e.g. giving away the Public Option and hence no competition in health care which as expected has risen our prices, or weak financial reform that solves no problems and enriches banks). But because of people like Feingold and Grayson which at least shows there are a few democrats worth fighting for i might end up holding my nose and voting...i wish i was in Feingolds or Grayson's county/state though because i would actually respect the man.

I really wish there was a new spin-off party of just progressives who vow not to take special interest money. Even if they are liek the green party and dont get much turnout at least i can feel good that my vote went to what i believed in.

Anyway, as it stands i will likely go vote but even if repubs win the house i will not care much since it seems to me nothing really changes and even with democrats in charge it was business as usual...just with some tiny peppered elements of change that helps people...at this pace it would take abiout 1000 years to get just a watered down public option.

20. Lucky you, not to give a damn who's in office.
Some of us DO care and know how bad it can get when the disciples of Palin, Beck and that ilk care more to go to the polls than you do.

Love it when people casually discard a right that others have fought and fought for.
