Feingold says Senate race is 'very tight'--and can win--IF...
U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold blasted Republican Ron Johnson for avoiding questions about budget cuts Wednesday, adding that his campaign's internal polls show the race is closer than outside firms have reported.

Feingold has trailed by as much as 12 percent in one outside poll and released an ad this week claiming that Johnson's supporters already are celebrating their victory. That ad got Feingold's campaign in hot water with the National Football League, which objected to game footage of player Randy Moss used in the spot.

Feingold said his campaign's internal polls show the race is "very tight," if voters who typically participate in midterm elections go to the polls in November. If 15 percent or 20 percent of the people who voted for the first time in 2008 vote again this year, Feingold said he's confident of a
victory.

1. But why would voters who showed up for Obama
come to the polls for a Senator who has repeatedly distanced himself from Obama? Oops.

2. Feingold has been a bit schizophrenic in this campaign.
He has distanced himself from Pres Obama but I was glad when he showed up at the big rally recently. I hope it helps.

8. I like Russ.
But voting against Democratic bills that barely passed wasn't very smart.
