Need some info on Beck's last "event" in DC please
I'm trying to write a LTTE in response to Chuck Krauthammer's latest article - he said that Beck's last rally in DC was a "church picnic" - I believe that was the anti-MLK event, right?

I'm pretty sure DU can help me find some things at the rally that were not church picnic-like in nature.

Thanks

1. What did you have in mind?
I'm not terribly experienced with church picnics.

3. Folks were specifically told to leave those signs at home.
So the event was whitewashed. Good luck on your quest!

4. One thing that really pissed me off...
Was Beck's use of the iconic stylization of Shepard Fairey’s Obama posters... they were bastardized for Beck's own purposes. He can't come up with an original idea.

There may be pictures around of the crowd... they didn't look too happy. I think they thought they were taken for a ride... I think they thought it was going to be a big ol' Obama hate fest. There are also pictures of participants with anti-Obama t-shirts.

5. Anti-Obama shirts are fine
but, shirts that compare him to Hitler or show his head photoshopped onto an African witch doctor are ones that are over the line.
