Even New Fox poll has Brown gaining on Whitman tied 45-45
Brown Tied With Whitman for California Governor

Democrat Jerry Brown closed a 6-point gap in California’s gubernatorial contest with Republican Meg Whitman, according to the latest Fox News battleground poll.

Whitman lost 4 points and Brown gained 2 points to bring the race into a tie at 45 percent among likely voters since last week’s survey.

The campaigns have been engaged in an air assault for several weeks with negative ads dominating the airwaves. Whitman’s personal fortune, amassed as CEO of eBay, and the many outside groups backing Brown are contributing to what is on track to become the most expensive gubernatorial contest ever.

1. Since Brown is just starting to campaign in earnest, the advantage is his
Whitman must have hit the point of diminishing returns on her massive investment a long time ago.

3. Why are you giving credence to Fox?
They suck and their polls suck. Give me reality, please.

that I posted earlier showing Brown leading. It's the direction that he is moving in and even in this Fox poll the momentum is with Brown, so yes, I'll post it if I want.

5. i really really want Brown to win, i can't wait for Clinton to get here and campaign for him
the Clintons are still popular in the state with many voters and i wonder if the Whitman ad with clips of Clinton has turned some off to Whitman rather than Brown.

6. "Even Fox"? They don't just wait - they wait until there's no possibility
whatsoever of their bullshit being called before ever announcing any poll favorable to Democrats. When they tell you something good happened to Dems, you can take it to the bank, since everybody else including the Bangladesh Daily Mail has already published it.

10. Rope-a-Dope®
Jerry Brown just leaned back against the ropes and let Whitman exhaust the public's brain. That was the plan from the get-go, right, Jerry?

11. On one hand ya got Jerry Brown, who is one of the
most remarkable and honorable public servants we've ever had.

On the other hand ya got Meg Whitman, who is a walking ATM machine for her own craven ambition. She has many more millions of dollars than Brown and not half the brains or integrity.

Go, Jerry.

13. The summer time crap was a waste. It starts in September.
Jerry Brown is a great Californian who knows what he's doing. When I first met Jerry, a fellow CA native, he was the Governor, I still couldn't vote, and Meg did not even live in California.
