1. Does It Have A Union? Is It A Charter School?
Just curious, for obvious reasons.

12. It's a public school in Prince George County Public School District
So yes, it is union, no it is not a charter school (though the president has no control over which schools name themselves after him--there are already six schools in the nation named after Obama.) B.O. has space for 792 students (that's kind of huge for an elementary school) in a predominantly black county that voted 89% for Obama. Since it's new, it has many green features, including waterless urinals. How about that.

4. A unrec
just for you! :) Seriously, who cares that this gets a rec or unrec? It's a silly system on a message board. No big deal.

18. It wouldn't be DU...
if the first post of every thread wasn't "Oh NOES!!! The unrecs". Gets quite tiring. We are at +33 right now- people need to hold their pants on.

20. I agree
which is why I unrec every thread if someone complains about rec/unrec. Just a silly little game I play. :P :)

Of course, that reveals you to be puerile in the extreme, but still, cool.

5. I believe there is an "anti-unrec" cabal within DU that unrecs
anything and everything, regardless of content, just to be childishly disruptive.

I wish the admins would collect and make available the names of all "unreccers" and the number of their unrecs.

6. No, that would turn into a witch hunt
Edited on Mon Aug-23-10 09:29 AM by Wednesdays
And then we'd have open flame wars between reccers and unreccers.

I am, however, in favor of limiting unrecs and/or recs per person to, say, fifty, or twenty, or something--per day.

13. Enjoy.

George W. Bush Elementary School.

At least it's named after other than the sitting president. Obama had some schools renamed for him quickly, and at least some of those who objected objected not to his skin melanin level but to his current status.

Many view such honors like the USPS used to view stamps. Living people weren't on stamps, sitting presidents weren't deemed royalty.
