3. Except for their own hipocrtical candidates.
They definitely seem to like having woman as candidates recently. But it's only women who will back their agenda with absolute faithfulness, even if though one of their intentions with that agenda is to throw women back into the 1950s.

:grr:

But the rich women they recruit know they will be the exceptions. The victims will be all women except them. So that's apparently okay.

How amazingly hypocritical is it that they can find wealthy women to run for office pushing an agenda to throw all other women under the big metaphorical bus?

:nuke:

5. Yes, anti-woman
Thank you for adding that one. It is the party of white Christian men that like to manipulate the masses by massaging their fears about the "other".

6. Let me say this about that. Yes, you are right. But also, Islam is the prime religion today most
anti-Gay and anti-woman.

If the Republican Party is reflexively opposed to anything that isn't straight white male, that doesn't mean we have to be reflexively in favor of anything that isn't straight white male.

Don't misunderstand me: the Mosque has a right to be built - that's the First Amendment. Should it be built there? That's a question that can be debated, or no-commented on.

10. and anti-American
the Republican party stands for nothing ... they offer up hatred instead of ideas, fear instead of solutions, inaction instead of progress, lies instead of honesty, hypocrisy instead of honor, greed instead of compassion. There are no positives in the Republican party today. The only direction they know is over the cliff and I, for one, hope they find their cliff and proceed with the pedal to the floor.

23. Some "angry white middle class males"
Edited on Mon Aug-16-10 02:35 AM by LatteLibertine
are directing their anger in the right direction. Literally and figuratively. Or that is not at; the poor, minorities and migrant workers. Of course those sorts wouldn't cast a vote for the GoP if you paid them. The GoP is about concentrating money and power upwards to the most wealthy at the expense or interests of the overwhelming majority of the US population. That's it. Just look at their record.

Again, practically speaking, I don't know why anyone who isn't a member of the most wealthy would vote for the Republican party.

24. The Xenophobia Party ...
And don't forget that they also hate Europe (Socialists), Russia (Commies), India, Pakistan, China, Japan ...

And they only tolerate Israel while waiting for Jesus to return, so they can watch him throw the Jews into the lake of fire.

I think they might be ok with folks from New Zealand, although they probably do not know where that is.
