Don't Forget about tonight.....
please check your PBS local list, PBS.org

President Obama awarded Paul McCartney the annual Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Artists from all the genres and backgrounds paid tribute to the music legend with a concert hosted by the President and First Lady at the White House. Take a break and go behind-the-scenes with the Jonas Brothers as they prepare for and perform the Beatles classic "Drive My Car" for President Obama and Sir Paul.

3. He's everyone's President...
I think they are crap too, but some of Obama's younger constituents won't agree. Think of all the kids tuning in, some voting age... and some with parents who will be subjected to the show.

I think it's a smart move.

I'm pretty sure my grandparents didn't like The Beatles when I was in love with Paul McCartney (my birthday buddy) at age six or seven... but they sure saw a lot of them!

4.  Yes you are right - Thank you for reminding me.
I really wasn't questioning our President's taste or judgment in inviting them. He is an extremely smart and savvy man. I am just sad that the Jonas Brothers are considered to be anywhere near the same level as Sir Paul or Stevie Wonder... that's all.

5. There is worse out there, I can assure you as the mother of a 5 and 6 year old.
And they are pretty harmless. What do you say when the kids ask to watch the latest Lady Gaga video? I can't explain half of what was in her new one to my girls!

7. I guess kiddie pop has become a legitimate musical genre . . .
actaully, Nick Jonas and his own band, the Administration (made up largely of Prince's former players, I hear) is at least somewhat interesting . . . but the Jonas Brothers? . . . their audience is still girls ages 11-14 -- and not much anyone else . . . showcasing them at the White House seems a little -- well, fill in your own word . . .
