CO Senate primary poll: Bennet holds a double-digit lead over Romanoff
On the Democratic side, appointed Sen. Michael Bennet holds a similar, 17-point advantage over primary challenger Andrew Romanoff, drawing 53 percent support to Romanoff's 36 percent.

Both Republicans lead general election match-ups, but the closest — and currently most likely —match-up is within the margin of error, with Buck leading Bennet, 46 percent to 43 percent.

4. I don't know who the kingmaker is in the CO Democratic party.
But whoever it is sure screwing this party up.

From Ben "nightmare" Campbell (the infamous party-switcher) to Ken Salazar to Bill Ritter to Michael Bennet, there isn't a progressive in the bunch. Not even mildly progressive. Hickenlooper isn't one either.

They might be slightly moderate on some social issues like gay rights, but they are anti-union, pro-business, and anti-tax as they come.

Romanoff would be a big improvement, IMO. Bennet is a protege of Phil Anschutz, one of the biggest right-wing funders America.

what we have had. I think his numbers will come up and I certainly do hope he wins, Michael Bennet has got to go.

7. It's hard to elect all-out progressives in Colorado.

Colorado used to be a red state, and thank God, it's gone purple as of late, verging on blue - we've got a Democratic governor, a Democratic state legislature, two Democratic senators, and five Democratic members of Congress (out of seven). At the same time, there are still a huge number of teabaggers and right-wing regions in this state (case in point: Colorado Springs), and there's a non-trivial percentage of "Archie Bunkers" in the Colorado Democratic Party, so Democrats are wary of going too far left (though right now I'm extremely happy with Fort Collins's delegation to the state legislature - representatives John Kefalas and Randy Fischer, and Senator Bob Bacon.)

I've met both Andrew Romanoff and Michael Bennet in person, and to be honest, I like 'em both. I'm voting for Romanoff, but excuse me for not wanting to demonize Bennet. He has done some good things as Senator.

5. Romanoff hasn't advertised yet
Sestak surged in the last few weeks in PA once he went on the air.

9. That because he's got a tiny budget
...Sestak had cash. Romanoff, not so much. He needed the caucus bounce.

I like 'em both, too, and don't think we'd be doing too shabby with either. Buck, however, shouldn't be ahead. :(
