2. "Never mind what I said on tv last night, how's your golf game?"
 I'm sure the 'strongly worded letter' POTUS gives the execs about having their asses kicked will have smiley faces and hearts in the signature line.

Edit~Breaking on MSNBC per the NY Times. And they're now discussing how the govt. can go back to BP for more if the $20 billion isn't enough.

Update: Obama got BP to agree that $20 billion will NOT be the maximum if more is needed.

3. Did you see the hearing yesterday with BP, Shell, Conoco, et al? It was pretty
harsh at times. I loved it!

4. No, I didn't, but I've read a bit about it. People, like Waxman
and Markey, were/are furious. They should be.

6. Even Republicans were pretty disgusted with this crew. I think the more duplicity
that is revealed, the blood pressure rises another point or two. Furious is the word. In many instances, all pretense of civility went out the window.

These guys were still lying, and when called on it, would twist the truth some more. Appalling.

8. I saw a lot of anger at the banksters ...
... yet they were bailed out while their victims were thrown into the street. Their bonuses still arrived and their too big to fail employers are getting even bigger.

They all know that what happens in these hearing are pure theater. I enjoy watching it too. It doesn't mean there will be any significant action afterwards.

10. I'm just hoping they've learned their lesson. If we've done our job as constituents,
we've given them an earful.

We'll see. Hoping for the best.

The tax payer funded "bonus" checks weren't even delayed. Not even a little bit! :hi:
