Bauer throws support to Barrett
Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer has endorsed U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett in the Republican gubernatorial runoff on June 22.

Barrett is facing Lexington state Rep. Nikki Haley.

In a statement, Bauer said Barrett was the only candidate he could trust.

“I hope the media and the voters take these next two weeks to really look at the candidates: their real records – not just their rhetoric,” Bauer said. “When they do they will find Gresham Barrett has been a committed conservative soldier in the movement against big government long before it was politically advantageous.

1. I'm guessing that's pretty much the kiss of death for Barrett,
considering what most of us think of Bauer.
