11. PPP showing similar numbers
For the first time since December PPP finds Democrats leading on the generic Congressional ballot, albeit by the insignificant margin of 43-41.

Obama is more of a help as almost 50% feel he unites.

HOWEVER: IT's NOT ALL GOOD NEWS!! In Jan 2009 80% thought Obama was a UNITER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Faux probably let their spin doctors go early for the weekend... calling them back by Sunday morning for the "hard" stuff.

18. People are MUCH more approving of Obama than they were of Bush.
There is no comparison. The key for us is infrastructure and political mobilization. It may be "better fewer, but better" come next congress, but that's ok.

21. "The biggest reason for the shift is that the party is becoming more unified"
(which seems odd after this week, but I believe the WH/Labor blow up will prove to be a blip on the radar)

23. All the generic ballot says
Edited on Sat Jun-12-10 03:48 AM by fujiyama
is that people aren't blaming any one particular party for the nation's problems.

Inevitably that means, we'll still likely lose seats, but ultimately it will depend on the die-hards and the most enthusiastic voters and maybe their base isn't as enthusiastic as officially believed.
