Chuck Todd uses Maureen Dowd to defend the MSM's backseat driver mentality on Gulf Spill

On Moron Joe this morning, Chuck Todd alluded to wackjob Maureen Dowd that Obama would never have visited the Gulf region if it wasn't for the pure and mighty mainstream media reporting that he hadn't gone there... although he had been there.... twice. And yes, there are a few other things happening in the World...

Todd, looking refreshed after perhaps wolfing down a couple KFC Double Downs before breakfast, went on to babble that Obama is not Big Daddy who should be basically camping out on the Venice, LA beach with a bunch of Shamwow soaker cloths. That was his spin.

Moron Joe agreed that Obama needed to do more. This is literally minutes after he acted like Father O'Sanity on the altar saying we should not pipe up about Obama's performance with the Gulf spill. Minutes go by and Moron Joe has to say something... anything... to make Mika Mouse look faux-longingly at him for his pedestrian knowledge of the issues.

And Maureen Dowd? She probably half-choked on her morning bon bon when KFChuckie mentioned her. He's not goin' to git her shagged... no, no, no Planet MoDo is too busy self loathing her crooked mouth.

They're trying to convince us that they're doing a good job and what they're doing is right. They're defending their "we want our daddy!" meme.

The thing is, smart people don't go around trying to convince everyone else that they're smart. They know that intelligent people will recognize their intelligence, and they don't particularly care what the stupid people think. The media is like the stupid guy trying to convince the smart guys that he's one of them. It's embarrassing.
