If KY Dems rally around Conway, he could beat Paul (updated)
Edited on Tue May-18-10 07:40 PM by ProSense
I looking at the number of voters on the scoreboard at Talking Points Memo

Simplistic, yes. Hopeful, definitely.

Updated to add this from Josh Marshall:

<...>

8:20 PM: Seems pretty clear that Rand Paul isn't just winning but absolutely crushing the ill-fated Trey Grayson. I don't really know enough about Kentucky politics to say what it means. But one reader notes that there are substantially more people voting in the Kentucky Democratic primary than on the Republican side. Conway is ahead now 48% to 40% over Mongiardo with about half the vote in.

8:26 PM: The Tea Party candidate (Todd Lally) has apparently beaten the NRCC's chosen Republican (Jeffrey Reetz) in the KY-3 primary to face John Yarmouth.

<...>

8:32 PM: On higher Dem turnout in Kentucky, I was wondering whether registrations might still lean Dem in Kentucky, despite the state now being a strong Republican state. Apparently that's what it is, according to Chuck Todd.

<...>

Not good for Republicans.

3. I guess I should say:
If KY Dems rally around either candidate, any one of them could beat Paul.

LOL!

4. From the looks of it, Paul is not part of the Republican Establishment. I think it's the Reps,
not the Dems, who should be concerned. That seat has been in Republican hands for years now. If the Reps can't hold on to it, their in trouble.

But, look, they set the cards for themselves. Can Sarah go back to the tea baggers now that she has abandoned them for the Establishment? Can she honestly now pretend that she's one of them? That'll be interesting to see.

5. Keith Olbermann spoke with both Gene Robinson and Ed Schultz and none of them
mentioned how the number of DEM. voters seems to be bigger than the number of REPUB. voters, only saying that the chances of a Dem. winning in Nov. is pretty much "nil." :eyes:

7. I've lost hope. :(
I never underestimate the idiots who will consistently vote against their own interests ... it really is astounding.
