Would somebody call Cheney (Mr. WMD) out on his lack of military service
Edited on Tue Dec-01-09 07:44 PM by Rosa Luxemburg
someone should call Cheney out on his lack of military service. Many of us have served. He has not.

Cheney goes on and on with his warmonger tirade. Let's shut him up for good. Let the public know that he knows nothing about the military.

No one challenges him - why?

1. Correction
He does indeed know about RUNNING it. What he is ignorant about is ACTUALLY SERVING in it.

I think Dicko needs to debate Jesse Ventura about his service some time.

2. I don't understand this either
Edited on Tue Dec-01-09 07:54 PM by Skittles
it's not that I believe someone must serve to offer a valid opionion regarding military matters but Cheney went SO out of his way, SO many times to avoid serving and yet now he goes SO out of his way to whore for war - well, fuck, he's the very definition of a FUCKING CHICKENHAWK and should be called out on it; yes INDEED

12. it's well known why he didn't serve
he had, as he actually said, "better things to do." What needs to be asked now is how he can whore for war when he himself was too chicken to serve.

20. It is really sickening
John Kerry was a brave man. Cheney has done nothing to serve his country. Yellow. His Vice presidency was dishonorable. His support of torture and war is unacceptable.

3. Our elite media are scared shitless of him
A 68 year old man with almost as many heart attacks as draft deferments, no actual military experience and they go all weak kneed at the sight of him.

Hell, I'm a 68 y.o. man with military experience, no heart attacks and one eye as a result of a shooting accident. I look mean as hell but nobody would ever dream of being scared of me. I don't go around spouting a bunch of macho bullshit I can't backup. Like the dick.

You've seen the sort of individuals that windup as members of the pundit corps. Courage (physical or moral) is not part of their DNA.

16. Well see, if you are FOR war, it doesn't matter if you served.
You can say anything you want about it.

If you are AGAINST war, you have to have served and even been seriously injured to be able to speak up at all, and even then the repukes will do everything they can to demean and slander you (see Cleland, Max).
