PHOTOS: Marchers Gather for May Day Immigration Rally in Los Angeles
Edited on Sat May-01-10 02:47 PM by flpoljunkie

Marchers gather for a May Day immigration rally, which the Los Angeles Police Department expects to be attended by about 100,000 protesters, in Los Angeles, California May 1, 2010. Demonstrators at May Day rallies across the nation are focusing on a controversial new Arizona law requiring anyone who may appear to police to be an immigrant to carry documents of proof that he or she is in the country legally, and makes it a crime to be an undocumented immigrant in Arizona. Every single marcher above carrying SOMETHING in addition to-- actually marching and moving --- and holding it up high, with something to say and determined to be heard! Potentially 100,000 in LA...

vs little gaggles of Fox news couch potato people standing around scratching their heads and their butts, not really even sure why they are there, or if they even should be.

5. May Day vs Tea Party
Tea Party rally 1,000 to 10,000 per city

May Day rally 50, 000 to 100,000 per city

14. Rep. Gutierrez was arrested at the protest in D.C.
WTF? I didn't know Gov. Brewer had jurisdiction outside Arizona. Maybe Gutierrez was wearing the wrong type of shoes . .
