Meg Whitman publishes campaign MAGAZINE

And sends it to 500,000 republican homes and 1400 libraries. Meg Whitman, the magazine is a 48 page glossy magazine that
looks like Newsweek. Whitman has vowed to spend 150 million dollars of her own money to "win" the election for governor.

1. What is Brown doing? From what I've heard he's hardly been running a campaign
I can't believe that we have a big chance to win back the governorship of California after years of ineptitude by the terminator, and the best choice dems could come up with is Jerry Brown?

3. meanwhile Whitman has gone from 12-points behind in the polls to four or five points
ahead of Brown. She will have the money after the primary to keep on the offensive, too.

5. I know, it's disgusting

There should be limits to how much of their own money candidates are allowed to spend.
She'll have almost 100 million more after the primary- not including donations.

10. Brown was doing alright until the California Chamber of Commerce started running ads....
attacking him.

I was to so busy checking to make sure my wallet was still in my pocket (I habitually do that anytime I hear anything coming from the California Chamber of commerce) that I didn't study it much other than to note it contained a bunch of dated stuff that will be easy to counter when Jerry Brown's campaign cranks up and gets going.

4. I can't believe it either
and I live here. It's what you get when the state party is controlled by DLCers for 10 years and NO farm team is developed. Since the term limit proposition was passed all the CDP has been doing is playing musical chairs w/ state offices, state senate and assembly.

6. This is the primary
And Jerry was the best Governor California has had in my lifetime. So the best was the best they could do. How awful. I've never met a politician I respect even half as much as Jerry.
But of course, CA Democrats love to announce in advance that the Democrat is not worth the bother, they do this each election, the word of choice is usually 'lackluster'. They let Arnie win, because the Democrats were 'lackluster'. So they need luster, and they need it badly. If they don't get it, they stay home, whining. They do not work, they do not organize. They whine about luster.
What are your specific issues with Brown? I mean specific. If CA had listened to him last time, today the State would not be in such a mess, I'm old enough to know that. The right called him Moonbeam, but the Democrats sent him home for being far too rational, and suggesting that we tighten our belts to serve our future. Moonbeam suggested fiscal responsibility, and CA Democrats saw that as the end of the road for Jerry.
Again, your specific complaints about Brown, please?

15. He's got to reserve his resources
Whitman's got big, unlimited money and Brown has to spend frugally in order to have anything left for the general election. One thing that is going to work to his favor is grassroots, that's what he's working on building. Whitman has no grassroots and you can't win with out a good ground operation.

11. Just read it
I agree on
-Turning Sac. into a part-time legislature
-Needing a GED to get on welfare
-Supporting clean energy standards

I personally disagree with her on:
-Building More Prisons. (Yeah she said it
-Not legalizing Marijuana
-Keeping Death Penalty
-Opposing Early Release
-Her opposing bilingual education (ending ESL I assume)

Wish Brown could do something like this

12. If you got Money you can Do, Be, and Get ANYTHING in the world!
This is why having money is so important. If you have it, the world is yours.
I expect Whitman to walk easily into the Governor mansion in November.

AG Brown is doing his job. I get daily announcements of arrests that our department has made along with money recovered in white collar crimes. This information is available here.

16. Every Californian need to check their library and see if the rag is there.
If it is, pull it from the location and find another location as far away as possible from it and preferably that is used little by the patrons. Place in such a way that it is unlikely to be seen in normal circumstances. Do not rip, destroy or mutilate in any way. Keep in mind that libraries may have video cams.
