A great Krugman NYT magazine article explaining environmental economics

This is a 10 page, very readable article that goes through the economic theory of how to deal with climate change. This provides the most easily understood theoretical underpinning for the various proposed alternatives. It is actually fun reading - a near impossibility given that it is a serious discussion of the issue.

1. Here is a hearing where Nicolas Stern testified

He is mentioned in the article as wanting to do something big quickly - the approach that Krugman tends to agree with. Kerry has often sited the conclusions of the Stern Report.

(Ok - I know this is a cheap trick to kick this hoping a few more people can see a genuinely good article.)
