McCain Campaign Releases Details of Brown Visit
Sen. Scott Brown (Mass.), one of the GOP’s hottest commodities, will be bringing his newfound stardom to Phoenix and Tucson later this week when he hits the campaign trail with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

The McCain campaign released details Tuesday of Brown’s two appearances in the state — a rally at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix at noon Mountain time on Friday and a meet-and-greet at the historic Manning House in Tucson on Saturday at 4 p.m. Mountain time.

McCain and Brown will also catch the University of Arizona versus University of Southern California basketball game Saturday.

McCain is bringing in Brown, a GOP superstar since his upset special election victory in January, as he looks to beat back a primary challenge from former Rep. J.D. Hayworth.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), McCain’s vice presidential pick in 2008, is also swooping in later this month to campaign with McCain and help shore up his standing among his conservative base.

3. That's very good, very perceptive, and very accurate. McCain needs
cute young props to keep his image and his charisma going, 'cause he has no charisma anymore, nor any sense.

2. Which will not endear McCain to the Tea Party crowd after Brown's last vote
and McCain and his folks would know that if they were in touch with things.

5. Hard to tell if the tea party crowd has really abandoned Brown
Looking at the comments on various articles on Brown, there are many that were angry, but more willing to chalk that up to bipartisanship representing a liberal state. There is still too much fun arguing that he made MA red, which of course, he didn't. This would be like if a really poor Republican campaign in Utah or Idaho would have lost to a young Democratic political novice in 2006, when the country was angry with Bush.

The real question is what will Brown say. In his day after the election meeting with McCain, Brown spoke of wanting to ba a maverick like McCain - speaking of when McCain worked with Democrats. Now, that comment is likely the last thing that McCain wants to hear when still in the primaries. Now I suspect that McCain' campaign will give their "model" a script, because he does seem a loose cannon without one. 6. Hate to say it, being a native of Massachusetts, but...
Brown might wind up being the best thing to happen to us. He killed the myth of the 60 seat Senate (which we never truly had thanks to Lieberman) and now he's going to make the Tea Party crowd go into hysterics AND possibly bring McCain down with him. Things are looking a lot better with Brown than they did without him.

9. The Tea Party crowd is half way to the mental institution as it is
It wouldn't take much to drive them off the cliff like a bunch of lemmings. Of course, right now we need them to help defeat the Republicans.

8. I find it funny that when a Repub gets News Coverage everyone thinks he is the NEXT BIG THING!

It's like a revolving door....there's always someone new each month based on how much attention he is getting from the media. If the media views that person favorably and talked about more than usual then THAT person becomes the new face of republican party and ends up being hailed as the strong lead for the GE republican nominee and then the cross-country speeches at campaigns begins. I wonder who will be next month's flavor.

I remember even Jindhal who was the favorite simply because the republicans exclusively thought that Obama won because he was non-white...LOL! And of course Palin being picked because of the Hillary-is-a-woman-meme and was the only won who came close to beating Obama).

10. McCain honestly believes Brown has "coattails" that will help him?
Between him and Sarah, McCain will be a shoo-in for the primary!

11. Brown got the same amount of votes in MA that McCain
received in 2008. The Democrats did NOT turn out to vote. Brown did not win, Coakley lost!
