Not that there is really any political value in that... but I just think the GOP came across as minimalistic and not having any real answers.

That does not necessarily translate into any more votes

But I think Dick Durbin was great and John Boenner and McCain just looked petty and mind numbingly robotic.

1. Yes, we did. Because we have intelligence and facts on our side.
Not that the media will tell us that.

3. It's not even close.
The Dems win because the Dems have ID'ed the problem and are offering solutions.

The GOP loses because they don't admit we have a problem and offer nothing.

4. it wasn't a win or lose situation -- more of an OUTING
Pukes were shown as the whiny obstructing little a-holes they have been all along.

One republican called in to cspan and was really upset with his party - he called them obstructionists.

Pukes got PUNKED. period.

overall I think most Americans are not paying attention to the tiny details but instead are just tired of hearing about the whole health care issue. They are more concerned about the economy as a whole and don't seem to get what a pull on the economy doing nothing about HCR is.
The Republicans have smartly and in my opinion evilly played to the disinterest and stupidity of the general public and scared them off of this bill. Like it or not all polls show most Americans do not seem to like THIS bill, so what they will get out of today is the Republicans are saying start over.....we can support this piece, or that piece but lets start over.
I think its crap but I think most people will agree with that.

The overall effect probably wouldn't have been that much different even if Democrats had more popular and effective legislation on the table.

Americans are tired of all the talk and want to see concrete action that improves their situation now- not in 2013.

6. The Republicans looked like the petulent children they've been
behaving like right from the beginning. That is clear to people who've been watching the whole thing, body language and all.

Once it's sliced & diced by the corpomedia wurlitzer, this won't be as clear as it is to us here and now.

start over (which means to do nothing).

Need to show more of this type of contrast, who really IS on the side of the people.

11. Much will depend upon how it is spun by the media ...
... and what substance finds its way out of the summit and into the public consciousness.

14. Republican ass got kicked hard.....
while Democrats were taking about the American people,
Republicans were talking about the cost of everything.

Showed priorities.

You may have been too stuck on the "Start over" button to realize it.
Doesn't take much brain, just a little bit of thought to conclude
that the Republicans FUCKING LOST! Get over it! You media will work on this...
so don't worry.

just didn't think it was possible for the Dems to win by such a enormous margin. :)

19. Among intelligent and caring people with an attention span longer than 12 seconds, yes, we won the
day.

For a scarily large portion of the electorate, however, this was "more political bullshit" and they believe either that "they're all the same!" or "I'm with the white guys."

And, yeah, Durbin WAS great. MY senator!
