5. It's not. But it still influences public opinion.
And the public will always look at this in comparison to the Radical RW, so whether you're a progressive who supports the President or not, it's to your advantage to vote "good."

12. Agreed, I've never understood the point of "Democratic" Underground users flooding an online poll.
All we're doing is making an unscientific poll more unscientific.

And to poster #5, I would ask, why is it a good thing that it influences public opinion? I don't necessarily want people on our side just because we gave them an extremely skewed view of public opinion by flooding an online poll with biased votes.

18. Freepers freep polls, DUers DU polls, and on and on it goes
but what is really accomplished for the effort? I consider polls where you may vote multiple times to be a waste of time and are actually meaningless.

23. I've never understood the point of unscientific online polls. Hell, I've never understood...
...the point of the Radical RW worldview. But we got 'em both, like 'em or not. And we can either ignore 'em at the risk of our own peril, or we can answer 'em and tip the scales for the good guys.

Skewed? What the hell are you talking about? We're right, after all. And there are more of us than there are of them. These polls ONLY EVER skewed when they've been Freeped.

NGU.

26. All the haters get to these types of polls and keep on voting their hate.
This really is no relection on President Obama. How could anyone-knowing what he inherited from Bush-say he is doing a poor job? They would have to be the Tea Bagger and Palin types.

28. How could anyone say he is doing a good job?
He was given an overwhelming mandate to go in a more progressive direction. Instead, we get more of the same. The health care bill could have been written by the Bush team.
