Fernandez lunches with Bush and others
The luncheon was held in Gustavo Cisneros's villa in Casa de Campo

LA ROMANA.- President Leonel Fernandez lunched yesterday with the former presidents George H. Bush, George W. Bush, Alvaro Uribe, and Martin Torrijos and the former Prime Minister of the Spanish Government, Jose Maria Aznar. The luncheon was held at the Quinta Serenisima in Casa de Campo, owned by businessman Gustavo Cisneros.

Although officially what was talked about was not released, is was known that it was a cordial meeting where the personages reviewed several events in which they had taken part and some issues related to world politics.

Since last weekend, the two Bush families, Torrijos, Aznar and the former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney have been at Casa de Campo where the meeting with President Fernandez took place under normal circumstances, with not of the "hurrying around" that might disturb the other guests at the hotel.

It was known that the former chiefs of state, although they met with President Fernandez, are enjoying a family vacation more than anything else. That is why there not been any official visit or future strategy related to this visit.

The people in the photo with George H. W. Bush are Gustavo Cisneros:
Gustavo A. Cisneros Rendiles (born 1945)<1> is a Venezuelan media mogul of Cuban descent. He is among the world's richest men according to Forbes magazine, which estimated his fortune at $10.7 billion in 2010 The New York Times calls Cisneros, "one of Latin Americas most powerful figures" and says he and his wife, Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, have a reputation for being "a Latin American power couple in business and the global social scene."<2>

Cisneros is the son of Diego Cisneros; Diego Cisneros was in business in Caracas from 1929 and received the Pepsi concession for Venezuela in 1940, before going on to gain the concession for private TV channel Venevisin in 1960.

The Cisneros family was the first-wealthiest in Latin America on the 2006 Forbes ranking.<3> He graduated from Suffield Academy in Connecticut in 1963<4> and from Babson College in Massachusetts in 1968.<5>

In addition to Venezuelan citizenship, Cisneros also holds Spanish and Dominican citizenship.<6>

and Pepe Fanjul:
The Fanjul brothers -- Alfonso "Alfy" Fanjul, Jos "Pepe" Fanjul, Alexander Fanjul, and Andres Fanjul are owners of Fanjul Corp., a vast sugar and real estate conglomerate in the United States and Dominican Republic, comprising the subsidiaries Domino Sugar, Florida Crystals, C&H Sugar, Redpath Sugar, Tate & Lyle European Sugar as well as the airport and resorts surrounding La Romana in the Dominican Republic.

The Fanjul brothers' ancestry is Cuban and they are descendants of the Spaniard Andres Gomez-Mena who immigrated to Cuba in the 19th century and built up an empire of sugar mills and property by the time he died in 1910. In 1936, his descendant Lillian Gomez-Mena married Alfonso Fanjul, Sr, the heir of the New York-based sugar companies the Czarnikow Rionda Company and the Cuban Trading Company. The couple's holdings were then combined to create a large business of cane sugar mills, refineries, distilleries, and significant amounts of real estate. With Fidel Castro's 1959 Marxist Cuban Revolution, the family moved to Florida along with other wealthy, dispossessed Cuban families. In 1960, Alfonso Sr., the father of the current CEO of Fanjul Corp. Alfonso Jr., bought 4,000 acres (16 km2) of property near Lake Okeechobee along with some sugar mills from Louisiana and started over. Alfonso Sr. and his son Alfy Fanjul got the firm off its feet and Pepe, Alexander and Andres joined in the late 1960s and 1970s.<1> Pepe Fanjul Jr. joined the sugar firm in 2002.<2> As of 2008, the company owned 155,000 acres (630 km2) acres in Palm Beach County <3>.

Various business holdings and venturesThe Fanjul brothers were large shareholders and directors of Southeast Bank before its takeover and liquidation by the FDIC in 1991. In addition, they are the majority shareholders and directors of FAIC Securities, which was investigated by the S.E.C. for regulatory violations.<4>

1. Poppy did not appear to be in possession of all of his faculties last time I saw him
at Obama's Inaugural. Since he is going to be 87, this is no surprise, that is 4 years older than Mubarak.

2. One can only hope that Junior will run BushCo into the ground
as he has every other enterprise he's taken on.

4. He's had a long, destructive life. Lotta blood on his hands.
Not a lot of good can be said for the way he applied his energies during his career.

5. My first thought was a meeting of mafia dons on the trillion dollar-plus cocaine revenue stream
that Uribe was tasked with consolidating into fewer hands and directing to U.S. banksters, the CIA and the Bush Cartel (or so I suspect).

But there may be additional reasons for this meeting. The one I fear most is the probable corpo-fascist plan to Diebold Obama out of office in 2012, bring in Bush Junta II and proceed with the war on Venezuela and other leftist countries that the Pentagon has on its Big Dartboard.

If plans for controlling Iraq's, Iran's and Libya's oil all fall through, Venezuela is next (biggest oil reserves on earth--twice Saudi Arabia's, according to the USGS). The propaganda is all in place. They've been working on that for the last half decade. Many of the Pentagon war assets are in place in their "circle the wagons" area--Central America/the Caribbean. Venezuela's oil coast and northern oil provinces form the southwest rim of this "circle the wagons" area (looking at it as the compass rose; in order words, at about five o'clock, with Colombia at 7 o'clock, Mexico at about 11 o'clock and Cuba/Haiti at about 1 o'clock). They have U.S. military bases and the U.S. 4th Fleet all over this area, including a USAF base on the Dutch islands right off Venezuela's oil coast, and a new U.S./Colombia military base overlooking the Gulf of Venezuela only 20 miles from the Venezuelan border, and are currently building more U.S. in Honduras (about 9 o'clock) (--which the U.S.-supported rightwing coup d'etat in 2009 was partly about, with their spiriting Mel Zelaya out of the country with a refueling stop at the U.S. military base at Soto Cano, Honduras).

This scumbag Diebold Congress is quite worrisome in this respect. The Miami mafia reps were already slavering over the prospects of a war on leftist countries way back in December 2010. They were no more (s)elected--but not yet even seated--and they were holding a confab in Washington about this very subject, attended by fascist players from Latin America.

And here we have the most warmongering "movers and shakers" of all--Bush, Uribe, Aznar--meeting under Cisneros' auspices, a few months later.

An interesting and relevant sidelight is that it appears to me that Daddy Bush saved Junior from a Rumsfeld/Cheney plan to nuke Iran--at the risk of Armageddon in the Middle East (esp. China and Russia, coming into it, on Iran's side, with the tinderbox of Indian, Pakistani and Israeli nukes in the picture), possibly involving a U.S. military insurrection against Rumsfeld on nuking Iran, and against Rumsfeld/Cheney on outing CIA agents and projects. If my hypothesis about those events in circa 2006 (Rumsfeld ousted, Cheney de-fanged) is correct, then finding ANOTHER oil revenue stream would be high on the priority list of the Bush Cartel and its cronies/tools Uribe and Aznar.
