and you know the Bush administration has been salivating for an opportunity to start bombing the shit out of Venezuela. If they are successful in associating FARC with Chavez, they will officially call Venezuela a state sponsor of terrorism, and that will be that. They've already been pretty successful in demonizing Chavez through the media, going from "dictator" to "terrorist supporter" won't be difficult.
