Honduran interim leader: Zelaya can't be restored
I'm surprised the Washington Post is still calling it a coup

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras -- Honduras' interim leader says ousted President Manuel Zelaya cannot be allowed to return to power.

Roberto Micheletti says Zelaya may be allowed to return to Honduras to face trial on charges of abuse of power "but under no circumstances will we let him take possession of the government."

Micheletti's comments late Thursday further complicate international mediation efforts to resolve the Central American country's political crisis.

Soldiers whisked Zelaya out of the country in a June 28 coup condemned by nearly all foreign governments.
